Committee admin onboarding

Set up your organization, invite the committee and prepare your first season.

For admins About 30 minutes

What you'll learn#

By the end of this guide your organization is set up, your committee is invited with the right roles and your first season is ready for RSVPs.

Before you start

Have to hand: your festival dates, the venue address, your committee list with email addresses and each person's job, and a draft meal and ticket plan with prices.

Module 1: Your organization (5 min)#

  1. Create your account and organization

Sign up at mandali.io/sign-up with your own email address, then create the organization for your committee. You become its first admin. Read more.

  2. Set the essentials

Open Settings and choose your community type, time zone and currency. Set the currency now: it locks once you add prices.

  3. Add your logo

Open Members → General and upload your committee's logo. It appears in the dashboard and, later, on your event site.

Module 2: Your committee (10 min)#

Map each person's job to a role before inviting anyone:

Job on the committeeRole
President, general secretary (2 people)Admin
Food, venue, cultural program and ticketing leadsManager
Treasurer, assistant treasurerTreasurer
Day-of volunteersVolunteer
Advisors, past presidentsMember
  1. Invite everyone

Open Members → Invite, enter addresses and pick each person's role. Read more.

  2. Make a second admin

Make sure at least two people are admins, so the committee is never locked out.

  3. Check acceptance

Pending invitations stay on the Invitations tab until accepted. Nudge anyone who hasn't joined after a few days.

Module 3: Your first season (10 min)#

  1. Create the season

Seasons → New season, for example Durga Puja 2027, with the festival's start and end dates.

  2. Add the days

Open the season and add each day with its times and venue.

  3. Activate it

Select Activate. It becomes the season the whole committee works in.

  4. Hand meals and tickets to your managers

Your food lead sets up meal slots and your ticketing lead sets up ticket types. Point them at the Event manager training.

Module 4: Good governance (5 min)#

  • Turn on two-factor authentication for yourself and ask your treasurer to do the same. How.
  • Review the audit log once a week during the season. Read more.
  • Remove people when they leave the committee, the same day.
