Event manager training
Run days, meals and tickets for the season with confidence.
What you'll learn#
Managers plan and run the season: festival days, meals and tickets. This guide covers each task and the habits that keep the committee's numbers right.
Module 1: Find your way around (3 min)#
- The sidebar lists every area. Areas marked Soon are on their way.
- The season picker in the top bar shows which season you're looking at. Check it before you edit anything.
- The Overview shows the season's checklist and counts.
Module 2: Festival days (5 min)#
Open the season
Seasons → select the season's name.
Add each day
Add a day with the date, start and end time, venue and full address. Read more.
Module 3: Meals (7 min)#
Agree the plan with your caterer
Which meals on which days, the maximum you can serve, and the dietary options you'll actually cook.
Create each meal slot
Meals & RSVPs → Add a meal: day, name, serving time, adult and child price, capacity and dietary options. Read more.
Pause, don't delete
If a meal fills up or needs fixing once RSVPs start, use Pause. Deleting loses the record.
Module 4: Tickets (5 min)#
Decide the ticket mix
A season pass (valid for All days), day tickets, or both.
Create each ticket type
Tickets → Add a ticket type: price, quantity, maximum per order and optional sales dates. Read more.
Prices are part of the committee's record
Every price change is written to the audit log with your name. Agree prices with the committee before you change them during the season.
